Rei Hotoda plays Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2

Conductor and pianist, Rei Hotoda is one of America’s most dynamic classical musicians.  She will play the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op 20 with the Clinton Symphony Orchestra at its Spring Concert, April 9, 2011. Her husband, Brian Dollinger is the conductor and Music Director of the CSO. Together, they will perform the Concerto on a program that focuses on women as composers and performers. Featured along with Ms. Hotoda will be Iowa composer Tracey Rush, who will be represented by her composition Jane Eyre, Fantasy Overture. Of special interest to all music lovers, the ‘first lady of American composers,’ Amy Beach has a major work scheduled, her Symphony No. 2 in E minor, ‘Gaelic.
